#HowTo #Propagate #MonsteraDeliciosa

How To Propagate Monstrea Deliciosa Cuttings Easily! I tried using two different methods. Propagating monstera in water, and propagating cuttings in sphagnum moss! They both turned out great!

I also show how to pull new babies and get them started strong with water propagation. After watching this video I hope try and propagate your monstera deliciosa too!

This vid was great. I have a cutting in water but nothing much is happening. It’s been in there for about 3 weeks. Should I do anything different?

I usally put many cuts in the branch first then put in water.(it seems to make the plant grow faster).

Do you find you get juvenile unsplit leaves where you took the cuttings or does it usually bounce back with the big fenestrations?

Im doing the water propagation. Its been weeks already and no roots growing. I'm hesitant to use the moss because my area is really hot and im not fond of using fungicides.

Is it possible to get root rot doing the water method? If so how do you know root rot has happened and how do you fix/ prevent it?

For the sphagnum moss, how often do you water it? Is it supposed to stay moist? Thanks, let me know! I look forward to trying it!!

How confident are you about cutting off the aerial root?! I just got a cutting and the aerial root has white roots growing on it (I think they were keeping it in water). Nervous to cut it off…. Thanks!

Awesome, I really need to try sphagnum for propagating, also is it possible to air layer a monstera? I'm worried mine might reach my low ceiling by the end of the summer.

Great Video! Very informative! Abit of noob here and am interested to learn, the area that you cut off on the parent plant, what happens to it? Does it grow out a new stem? Or does it just heal off? Curious to know what a parent plant wud look like after

Do you let the stem and aerial roots heal over where you cut them, or just place in water as-is?

How often do you water after you plant them? :0 does the soil need to stay moist when transitioning from water propagation?

Thanks for the really good tips! Do you let the cuttings callous first before dunking them in water/moss or do you just put them in straight away? Thanks!

Your guides are simply the best, so many plant youtubers making guides on a day and you actually take the time to film the whole LONG process, that’s dedication. Do you have Instagram?
